I was honestly tired of seeing golden retriever hair stuck to everything. Used the wide side first around his chest and back legs, then flipped to the finer side and got another whole clump out. His coat looked soft after, not that hacked up look from some brushes. Took maybe 12 minutes and he just stood there like it was normal, which never happens with grooming. The handle feels solid too, i could actually keep a grip when he turned around

Bought it for my sister’s St. Bernard, bigger dog so I wasn’t sure if it would be too small. She said the teeth got down into the thick spots behind his ears and the loose fur came off in one pad. Shipping was quick, box looked fine

Great for normal grooming: small knots loose hair quick once a week Not magic on thick hard mats, I still had to work those slowly. But for my golden it’s practical and the grip is comfortable.
My puppy used to pull away from every brush so I went very slow with this one. The rounded teeth are gentle, no scratching, no drama. He stayed calm the whole time and the little tangles near his tail came out easier than usual!
Works fine for light knots and trims loose hair. For heavy matted fur on a double coat, not enough on its own. Better as a weekly comb than a rescue tool...

Both cats have long fur and one gets mats near the belly. Slow strokes with the 9 tooth side first, then the other side after. Haven’t had to book another mat removal appointment yet, so its paid for itself already
